I bought the Vector MAXX 400 watt inverter because it was about the highest wattage inverter available that still plugged into the cigarette lighter and I am not displeased. The unit comes with both a cigarette lighter cord and alligator clips which can be attached directly to the battery. These are color coded and connected to the unit by the user. I just leave the cigarette lighter cord attached as it still fits in the convenient hard-shell carrying case in that configuration. The unit has audio alarm for low power, a circuit breaker, and a fan which is not too loud.

Boss Audio 534UA In-Dash CD/MP3 Receiver

Bought this to mount in our boat. So I was looking for a cheaper priced stereo with a detachable faceplate and MP3 / Aux input. This one works well, dim display but it doesn’t affect it’s performance for us. If it we’re in a car then I’m sure it’s good enoungh. The face plate is hard to mount for some reason, other than that it’s worked and sounded great. I’d recommend it for someone looking for a decent inexpensive stereo.

i don’t know but I seem to go through an inverter every season. This one lasted only one season before I had to replace it as the last one (MAXXsst, 500w) had also lasted a season. I was only powering up a laptop (65 watts). I now have a Whistler 500w and have not used it for a full season.

My 5 year old Clarion CD/MP3 unit’s cd player finally kicked the bucket so I set out to look for a successor. I couldn’t believe this lower-mid level Pioneer unit upsets my then state of the art Clarion unit for half the price! The face is uncluttered and has a very clean, sleek look that will be at home in most car interiors. No gimmicky logos and animations here. The multifunction wheel takes some getting use to but after a little bit of practice, it becomes intuitive.
